Yesterday Noah and I found out some very unexpected news-- that's for sure! On Sunday I felt some funny feelings inside, which I was pretty sure was just the Braxton Hicks contractions. I felt them a lot through the night, and then yesterday morning while at work. I thought "Hm I go to see Dr Dameron on Thursday of this week... but better call the office juuuust in case," and boy- I was sure glad I did!
Larissa, Dr Dameron's nurse, answered and I told her the feelings I had been feeling, thinking she would say "Oh that is very common for as far along as you are," since I just thought I was paranoid on everything and that is what she has told me before anytime I have had any questions. BUT instead this time she asked me to come in asap, because it sounded like more then just the Braxton Hicks contractions.
I hurried and called Noah, who I told to not rush into Bloomington since the roads were not the best and he works in Peoria and that I would call him asap once I knew what was going on. I talked to my boss, was out the door and to the Dr in no time... it is a good thing her office is here in Bloomington that's for sure!!! I went into a room where they hooked me up with a monitor to monitor Eli's heartbeat, and any contractions I may have had within the 15 minutes they kept me hooked to the monitor. I was sitting there staring at the monitor the whole time... mainly focusing on his lil heartbeat! I did have contractions too... real contractions... not the Braxton Hicks!!!! Everytime I would have one, his heartbeat would go from 140's to 160's and then lower down to 120's and then slowly go back up to 140's. Larissa said this was normal though because everytime I was having a contraction, his heart would do that because of the contraction! Just about that time-- Noah surprised me and walked in the room!!!!! That definitely made me smile to see him and made me feel so much better too!!!!! I love my hubby <3
Larissa told me since I am having contractions and I am 34 weeks... they aren't going to stop my contractions because I am far enough along! SO she said if I were to have him, he has a big chance of being just fine! I looked at Noah when she said that and he got a huge smile on his face... which made me even more excited. At the same time though I am also very nervous too. We dunno when he could be here for sure-- could be weeks, could be a month, could be days! We will never know! We are just very excited for Eli, I do know that :)
THANKFULLY we have everything done too! We got all of our Christmas shopping done, our house is clean, everything for Eli is done EXCEPT we need to still find a bring home outfit for him... but we have a back up in case and IF it does not snow today/tonight we are going to go pick one out for him :) SO PLEASE NO SNOOOOOW!!!! Yesterday Dr told me to go home from work, rest and drink lots of water and if my contractions were to get stronger and closer together, head to the hospital. When we got home we finished packing our bags and Eli's bag ASAP and got that done, and we are set! Nothing more has happened though... I still feel the same strength of contractions about 1 time every 1/2 hour. Dr said if I get 6 or more in an hour is when I should head in and when they get stronger too! It is very exciting/nerve racking at the same time that's for sure! I came to work today bc if I even stayed home I would sooooo drive myself nuts!!! So I am here haha:) I will keep this blog posted as much as I can on all info!!!! We pray so much everything works out for the best for us and everything goes good.
Eli must want to meet everyone SO much :) Mommy and Daddy really want to meet him too:) We love you sweet baby boy <3
