I found out I was pregnant with our amazing baby Eli! :] Time sure does fly, there is no joking with that! This exact day last year- I took off the entire day of work but Noah had no clue I did! I went to the Dr and got a blood test done because I was late, but the pregnancy tests kept saying negative. Dang those pregnancy tests anyway- the lil tricksters! The Dr told me to go home after I got the blood test done and they would call me later that afternoon to let me know the result of the test. They called back after what seemed like a looooong afternoon and said "Congrats- you are on your way to having a sweet baby!" I was sooo excited and MADE myself wait for Noah to get home from work to tell him to his face instead of calling him like I so wanted to because I was just that dang excited! In the meantime, I wrote him a letter about our sweet baby on the way and put it into a box. I still have the letter saved. At the end of the letter I wrote- "I just want to let you know that the best gift ever is coming your way... in about 9 months!" :]
When Noah got home- I told him I ordered him a gift but it wasn't in the mail yet so I wanted to show him a picture of it. He unwrapped the small box, read the letter, looked up at me with the biggest smile on his face ever and grabbed me and gave me the biggest hug ever!!!! It was from that moment on that we knew our sweet baby boy would be one of the best gifts ever in our lives!!!!! It was the perfect weekend to tell his family and mine too. We took a small trip to Chicago with his family the next day so we told them all then, and then my sister graduated from High School that Sunday so we told my whole family at that time! :] It was so much fun to see all of their reactions too and to see how excited they all were!
We love you baby boy- you are truly amazing and such a good baby!!! You have made Mommy and Daddy's lives so awesome!!!! I am so proud to have a sweet baby boy just like you and can honestly say Daddy and I are very blessed to have each other, to have you, and we are definitely meant to be YOUR Mommy and Daddy! <3
