***Happy 6 months- is this serious???***

Welp- believe it or not- my sweet baby Eli is 6 months old today! I can’t believe he is already a ½ year old! Too craz-y but I adore that lil boy so much :] Eli is really a funny lil guy. He loves to laugh, fake cough to get your attention, squeal, and go crazy with his arms and legs while his eyes get huge every single morning when he wakes up and I go to pick him up out of his crib! Every single day I prepare him for when Daddy is almost home and when Daddy does get home, he gets so excited and it is the cutest thing ever! It melts my heart each and every day! I love how he knows who is Mommy and Daddy are- and he is not afraid to show his feelings to us ever! Last week we left him with Aunt Molly while we played volleyball and when we got back I walked up to him and Molly and he squirmed off her lap and was so excited to see me! It made me feel so special inside- to know Noah and I have a special lil guy that loves us just as much as we love him :]

Eli is still in size 6 to 9 month clothes (more 9 month clothes over 6 month) and is getting sooooo long. I am anxious to see how long he is and how much he weighs at his check up (at home our scale says 18 lbs so we will see!) Eli also has really fell in love with his jumperoo. At first he didn’t really understand how to jump. I would keep saying “jump buddy- jump jump jump” and he finally caught on! Now when he jumps, I will say that and he smiles so big and jumps harder- it is hilarious! Eli also loves to watch his Praise Baby tapes as well. He wants nothing to do with anyone when they are on. He stares at the TV from beginning to end! The other day Rylan (the cute girl I babysit) got in front of the TV while she was playing (and she didn’t do it on purpose) and Eli was watching his Praise Baby and got mad because he couldn’t see the TV. I just couldn’t believe that hahaha. Once Rylan moved, he was perfectly fine. Ohhhh gooness :] He also loves to watch Barney (Rylan loves this so now Eli does) and we watch Baby Einstein too. I have a Veggie Tales coming in the mail- so I am anxious to see how he likes that too!

Eli is now eating cereal in the morning mixed with fruit! He then has four 6 oz bottles split up at different times during the day and then he eats a can of baby dinner food and a can of baby fruit food with a bottle of some juice watered down for dinner around 6:00pm every evening! We then give him cereal again at night before he goes to bed. He is doing very good! He is a very messy baby though, I will say that, but what do you expect haha! So as you can see haha- Eli is now eating breakfast and dinner- someday we will work in lunch too but we have some time for that for sure!

Eli’s sleep schedule is amazing! KNOCK ON WOOD PLEASE! He goes to sleep every night about 9:00pm and wakes up between 7:30-8:00am in the morning. He may wake up a couple times in the night on some random night, but only because he lost his binkers and wants it back :] We are very lucky to have a baby sleep that long and so good! I cherish it as well and get my sleep in too! Although some nights I am up way too late so I am still tired the next day ha! Guess that is just how the life of a Mommy goes sometimes :] He also has been napping better as well. He sleeps about 2 hours during the day (and seriously each day the time is different when he does nap ha!)

As you all know- Eli is in a BIG boy car seat now too! He is still adjusting to it but it is going great! I just can’t get over he is big enough to be in one already! Blows my mind away- that’s for sure!

Eli’s first TOOTH is coming in EEEK! You can see it too and boy it is soooo sharp! He has been in some pain over it, and I feel so bad for him but baby orajel works wonders thank goodness :] He is being a good sport though!!! I am so excited he has his first tooth coming through though! He also is ALMOST about to be sitting on his own! He is very close, but still a lil wobbly at times. We will get there :] He has now rolled over from his tummy to back (has done that for awhile) BUT now he goes from his back to tummy too! Last night I went to check on him sleeping and he was on his stomach and it bothered me. BUT since he can roll over now it is all just dandy and I just keep telling myself he will be fine :] We go for 6 month pics this afternoon- and no worries- you will see them all on my blog and facebook ha :] We also go to Dr Jani for his 6 month check up on July 21st so I will post his 6 month stats at that point too :]

Last but not least, Eli loves loves loves toys. He graps on to them so well and just tries to figure them all out. At first he didn’t care for much toys- but he does now! He also plays with his hands a lot, and his binkys! He now knows how to grab my face and neck at times too and boy when he pinches you, it sure hurts for a lil guy! Every single day my lil Eli amazes me more and more and more. The older he gets- the more I fall in love with that lil boy! Noah and I couldn’t ask for anything more- he is such a joy to our lives and our family means everything to the both of us! Noah looks at him every night and says “he is so perfect” and every time he says it I just thank him for giving me such a great gift in my life and for being the hubby and father he is to us! HAPPY 6 MONTHS BABY BOY! I want to cry because you are growing sooooo fast and we just can’t believe it! MOMMY AND DADDY LOVE YOU SOOOOOO MUCH LIL MAN! <3 (I am sure you know this from the 1,000,000 kisses we give you each day on your sweet lil cheekers) :]
