Happy 8 months to my Baby Eli today! I can’t even believe that in 4 months he is going to be 1 year old! That is sooo crazy and coming so fast!!! What a precious lil man you are to us Eli- you bring Mommy and Daddy so much joy and laughter in our lives and we love you oh so much! Happy 1st birthday to Clayton!!!! I remember Brooke saying they are 4 months apart to the day- how neat :] It seems like he was just born yesterday as well but look what we got- 2 precious and amazing lil boys :] Come to think of it- all the babies born so close (Logan, Keller, Clayton, Kinley, Audrey, and Eli) are all such good babies it seems- sooo blessed and awesome!!!
What are you up to these days Baby Eli? (Not sure if I mentioned this before but yes this is right- Eli will always always always be my lil baby hehe!)
You are now sitting up ALL BY YOURSELF and are doing SO good!!!! You look like such a big boy and it brings tears to Mommy’s eyes! Does this mean she is a huge sap? Oh well, she doesn’t care ha! You also love to be on your belly more and lately have been scooting around as well as moving directions very well and rolling non-stop from your tummy to your back and then back to your tummy to your back haha it’s so interesting to watch and for now that is how you get to your destinations! I swear you are going to taaaake off some day- this will be a day I will bawl like a baby… you’re growing so so so so so fast baby boy! So proud of you lil man <3
You are in size 4 diapers and wearing 9 month clothes and some 12 months. You are more into the 9 month though for sure and you are getting so long. We go to the Dr for your 9 month check up in October, so we will see how much you have grown then! You are such a long lil booger though :]
One of your favorite things to do is to be in the bath tub! We got a new bath seat to sit you up in the bath and to also allow you to be safe (which is a good thing because you try to eat the water sometimes ha!) You love the bubbles, splashing (even to splash Mommy and Daddy), playing with bath toys in the water, and watching the water pour out of the bath… too cute :] At times you get way mad when it is time to get out of the bath too- but we have to get you out before your lil hands look like an old man’s hands all wrinkly and before the water gets cold :]
You have a new car seat you have had for awhile and you love to look out the windows and check out the outside :] Not to mention- you look so grown up in this car seat too!
You still love your jumperoo so much and you love to play with little toys too! You still love to watch your Praise Baby the most out of any other videos we have and you are a big fan of Rylan and Jessalyn when Mommy babysits them :] You love to swing, play with your toes, try to play with Mommy’s toes, EAT, drink water out of a cup (with some help of course), and your highchair ha! You have always always been such a smiley baby but anymore you smile more, laugh more, and it makes me feel like the best person ever when you smile and laugh with me every single day and when you first see me come into your room in the morning and also when Daddy gets home from work!!! :]
You do have a new baby cousin on the way due in March 2010 (I don’t remember the exact date sorry folks!) Noah’s lil brother Josiah and his fiancé Marlana are expecting so you’re gunna have a lil pal buddy boy!
Mommy still and always will absolutely love love love staying at home with you each and every single day! It is one of the best decisions I have evvvvver made in my life and I look forward to doing this so much every day!!!!
Lately we have ran into a deal where you no longer like to eat your veggie baby food- instead you want the table food Mommy n Daddy are eating but you will still eat your baby food fruit! You refuse to eat the veggie baby food, so I tried a hot dog with you, as well as mashed potatoes one time, and we have also tried apple sauce, and even chopped up mac n cheese and you loved it all so much and gobbled it down. I called the Dr Jani to make sure this was okay- and he said as long as you are eating it very well and not having any reactions to any of the foods, this is perfectly fine to do and will start you better on table foods as you get older! He said one thing to keep in mind is to make sure Mommy n Daddy are still giving you foods that are healthy for you, such as veggies, fruits, grains, dairy, etc and not much junk (sweets ha which you love!) He also said to try crushed up crackers, the same ole puffs, yogurt melts, and cheerios for good snack choices :] This is a very exciting stage for Mommy n Daddy and so much fun!!!! However I am still paranoid since you don’t have many teeth so keep my eyes on you always when you eat and slice up your food small small small!!! So proud of you baby and that this is all working out so good so far! KNOCK ON WOOD :]
You are eating cereal in the morning around 8:30am, then a 6 oz bottle of formula right before you take your nap around 10:30ish am. When you wake up I give you some lunch- which is some type of veggie with a fruit of any table food with some juice. You then usually have any type of snack in the afternoon and want a 6oz bottle of formula sometime in the afternoon too. Then for dinner we are giving you smashed and small pieces of what we eat for dinner with some juice, which is a big change in food- but so much fun! Our family now all sits at the table together, and it is so much fun I just can’t get over it haha! Noah and I have never sat at the table together until Eli started with us each evening, we always ate together in the living room before hahaha so it is a change for us, but so far going good! You usually want another 6 oz bottle sometime after dinner and then you have your cereal before bed as well and you are good to go until morning :] You aren’t afraid to eat one bit haha and we just know you are so happy for table food because it made us feel bad to eat it in front of you by the looks on your face!
You are going to bed around 9-9:30pm every night and wake up around 8:00am every morning. You are sleeping great! You are starting to teeth on your top gums here lately so you have woke up pretty sad at random times a few nights a week but other then that- you’re good to go lil man! Orajel works wonder and you have done great through the teething process! Mommy and Daddy really are blessed they get such good full nights of sleep too- thank you buddy boy! :] During the week you usually take a nap between 10:00am and 10:30am and sleep for 2 hours. So far that is the only nap you take- noooot bad buddy! On the weekends this is different though since Mommy and Daddy are both home and sometimes we have plans going on but you sleep 2 hours sometime on Sat and Sun too!
Overall you have been a very very healthy baby- however last week you came across a cold again (that’s what you get when you have IL weather and babysit other kids too though and is a part of it but it’s worth being home with you lil man sooo much!) We took you to Dr Jani two Friday’s ago because you were pulling on your ear and come to find out- we caught the start of an ear infection. They gave us some meds for you and you are already soooo much better thankfully! We’re so glad we caught it in time sooo much and hated to see you not feeling good lil guy but you were a good sport and all about loving on Mommy and Daddy even more!
I always make these novels- and really don’t mean to! I could go on and on and on about my baby boy! I never like to brag- but I could go on and on about him all day and never mind one bit about it :] He is my lil hero I will forever and ever look up to in my life. Noah and him are the best things that have ever happened to me and I would be absolutely no where without them! I am so truly blessed for the life I have- and could not ask for more! My family means so much to me and I thank my parents for raising me to be the person I am today! Words will never explain enough on how much love I have for my hubby and my lil baby boy!!!!! You 2 rock my world <3 Noah and I have already started talkin about when we want our next baby- but no worries it won’t be til a lil longer haha I am not preggers folks haha! We want them to be close to or at 2 years apart! The way things are going so far- that is our plan! <3
Thanks for being such a joy to our lives Baby Eli. Being a parent is an amazing adventure I wouldn’t trade for the world! I’d do anything for you lil guy- your Mommy and Daddy love love love LOVE you! HAPPY 8 MONTHS! :]
PS- Daddy is such a good hubby and father!!! For our 2 year anny yesterday I got him a new push lawn mower because he is in need of one real bad and he loves it and I am soooo glad!!! I told him not to get me a thing and he got me matching earrings, ring, and necklace in Eli's birthstone!!! So so so so sweet and such a great idea- I love you SO much babe and will forever wear the ring every single day and wear the necklace and earrings as much as I can :] I LOVE MY FAMIY SOOOOO MUCH!!!! Words will never be able to explain how much love I feel for them- I am so truly blessed :]
