So I'm just saying- it has been one loooong Thursday for me. It feels like it is about 1 in the morning right now, yet it is only 9:48pm. Blah...
Today was going so good and smooth- until about 1:00pm :/ The girls and Wyatt just had ate lunch and the girls were very tired from school, and Wyatt was too, so I made them cots on the floor and they all layed down and were out in seconds. As I was going upstairs, I grabbed the monitor, to hear Eli was waking up from his nap. So I went up to get him and was going to feed him lunch. We were back in our bedroom before we went to eat just in case Eli got a little loud, and that is when he fell and hit the night stand by Noah's side of the bed. AHHHHH I flipped out!!!!
Instantly Eli screamed and cried, while lots of blood came flying out. I couldn't even tell where he hit, all I saw was the blood covering his face from his nose down, and up the side of his face!!! I screamed and broke down (may I add never to do this- bc it scared Eli and made him upset even more) so I grabbed him in my arms while also trying to control myself and called Noah and then called Noah's Dad to come help me. I got him all cleaned up in the midst of Noah's Dad coming over to see Eli had a bad cut on the inside of his mouth at the top and his lip was already puffy. There were no other marks anywhere else but there. He was holding on to me for dear life, I felt soooooo bad for him, and actually- I still feel real bad for him my poor baby!
I ended up taking him to Prompt Care in Morton while Noah's Mom sat with the kids (who were napping the whole time anyway). They checked him out to say he DID NOT need stitches (THANK GOODNESS) and to just keep an eye on him, and the cut, as well as making sure it does not get infected. They said mouth injuries heal very quickly, and to not be surprised if it is gone in 4 days- woooo hooo!!! Eli was such a good lil sport tho- and so funny too! He was still his same ole self after a lil bit of settling down and when the nurse came in she said "hiiii buddy" and he went "hiiiiii" real high pitched back to her hahaha! I laughed so hard! I am so proud of him. He has had an okay night- kinda fussy here and there- but I can not say I blame him one bit! He has been sleeping for the night for over an hour now... I sure hope he sleeps good and not to also mention- PLEASE NO MORE INJURIES FOR ELI!!! We have the gutsiest lil guy on our hands haha! I am scared for when he walks if this is what happens when he crawls!!! I am so thankful he is okay... I was worried sick and about to breakdown!!! Maybe my son should never be a football player- I will really be one worried Mama then if I already am now!
