Let’s see- what is Mr Eli up to these days!?
He is beginning to talk more these days it seems- which makes this Mama proud! Of course he still says the basics (dog, star, Mama, Dada, Papa, Zach, uh-oh, baba, ball, balloon, etc) but now he is starting to say bigger words or two words put together! He now says Belle (our lil dog), Bad Dog (hahaha he heard Noah and me tell Benny this one too many times I spose), All gone (when his food is gone haha it’s cute), Byeeeee (as he waves), Baby, and Hiiiiiii (as he waves).
He is now binky free other then having it only at nap time in his crib and bed time in his crib and that is all. This has helped him talk more and let us know of what he wants. He points to anything he wants and we are trying to say the word it is and also have been saying the word please and thank you a lot too. Obviously it will take him a bit to say those things- but with as much as he is catching on these days- it is good to start now! I am soooo very proud of him for being binky free other than naps and night time. However, no binky and baba’s anymore crushes me at times- stop growing lil man!!
He really LOVES to watch Elmo still of course, and now Mickey Mouse Clubhouse too. Those are his top 2. He also likes Dora too and calls her baaaackpack. It’s adorable! Whenever Mickey Mouse says “meeska mouska Mickey Mouse” on the TV show- he looks at me like “c’mon Mommy, I know you know the words too- scream them out please!” Hahaha! I also caught him saying “la la la la” to Elmo’s song the other day too- he got a lil embarrassed and ran away laughing after he understood I heard him and praised him for it :] Silly boy!
Other activities that Eli enjoys are: playing with any of his toys at anytime of the day, his pet fish, Benny and Belle, his new rocking Harley Davidson bike, playing outside with his tractor and mower, playing on swing sets and in the sprinklers, and getting dressed in the morning. He likes to help me pick out what he wants to wear haha (including shoes) but hates to have his diaper changed and clothes changed haha! He also love love LOVES to be in the bathtub and will run to the stairs all ready to go when you mention it is Bath time… love it. One last all time fave- BOOKS… and when Mama and Dada read them to him… LOVE this so much!!!!
His current favorite foods are ANYTHING… literally. He eats anything in front of him besides cottage cheese and green beans! Not a picky boy at all :] He is really loving strawberries and pineapple these days too! He is no longer going through his pickiness anymore too (knock on wood!!!)
He still sleeps all night- goes to bed around 9:00pm every night and wakes up around 7:30am-8:00am every morning! He still takes one 2 hour nap a day, but it is a different time everyday! Since it is just Mommy and Eli home now, some days we do things and get off of our nap schedule, plus he is getting older and just napping whenever he feels the need to :] Naps were soooo hard about 2 weeks ago. He would cry and cry and cry and it broke my heart so bad I’d run in and get him and rock him to sleep or lay down with him. He is getting better though… my poor lil man.
He still has his 13 teeth still like he did last month and is in 18 month clothes (some 12 month pants). His feet are growing so much too- he wears a size 6 now my oh my!
Lil man you are going to be a BIG brother so soon!!! You are going to be the best big brother too. You absolutely love your baby cousin Jasmine (pic below of him hugging her) and it makes Mommy and Daddy so excited to see you with Baby Peanut when he/she is here! Crazy I can announce what baby is in less than a week eeeek I can’t wait! You make Mommy and Daddy smile so much every single day and do the cutest things in the world- I swear on it haha! My whole world begins and ends with you lil man, and your amazing Daddy too. LOTS of love always from Mommy!!!!! Happy 16 months my lil man :]
