Sweet Zacary is now 18 days! Excuse me? Time is already flyyyying! The first 18 days have been amazing though! He is such a sweet baby boy and so good too! It's so cute to think back to Eli being his age and comparing the two of them. They are very similar that is for sure! The only difference between them is the fact that Zacary sleeps wonderful and goes to sleep around 11:30pm and sleeps til 7:00am getting up one time or none at all!!!! Eli slept good too- but he would stay up til 3am and then sleep in til 11am haha- he was a lil off with time but that is ok- he is a wonderful boy!!! Zacary is also eating very well- eats every 2-3 hours and is at 3 oz of formula each feeding! He does not spit up, and he has very loud burps ha! He loves to snuggle for sure- as a matter of fact each night he will not go to sleep unless I snuggle with him first! NOT EVER gunna pass that up for sure- he is only this lil once and I loooove to snuggle- so it is so much fun!! He is still sleeping next to us in our room in a bassinet and prolly will be until he is 3 months old like Eli was. They always say the 2nd child is different- not for me tho :] I love his lil personality already- just so stinkin sweet and lovable! He is so much like Eli it's so darn cute!! They could seriously be twins 20 months a part :] He only cries when he is hungry, needs to burp/pass gas, or has a dirty diaper. I will say his cry is very loud for a lil guy- but the newborn cry is always so cute! I took him to the Dr last week to weigh him to make sure he is at birth weight and he is 9 lbs- a growing boy already!
I love to see him look up at me, grasp his lil hand around my finger, and the way he looks at Daddy when he is holding him too! He notices the movements of Eli already and it makes me want to cry tears of joy with how close they are gunna be and the best friends they will always be! <3 He loves the bright colors on TV and is already noticing fans and lights! He is a very alert lil boy and is starting to stay awake more often during the day already which is so much fun! He loves his lil baby rocker seat and I just bought a baby carrier too to put around me and place him in too. He is an all around great baby I love so much!!! He definitely took great lessons from his big brother... bc both of them are sooooo perfect and the best lil boys I could ever ask for!
Eli is so cute with Zacary too- always lookin out for him already and making sure he is alright! Tonight we had to run an errand to WalMart and on the way Eli told me "ohhhh nooooo" and I said "what's wrong buddys" and he pointed at Zacary and Zacary had lost his binky! Awwww so smart and so cute! Not to mention- sometime I am gunna have to tape record how Eli says "ohhhh nooooo" bc it is so cute and hilarious! Today when I was getting the boys dressed Eli sat beside Zacary and was mummbling words to him and tried to give him a baseball :] It melted my heart so much and the pic of it is below :]
Eli has definitely adjusted for sure and is the same ole sweet boy as always! The only thing we really had to work on is how hard he throws balls, hits his drums etc and to make sure he is careful with it and gentle around Zacary. Very very common though and he is doing very good with it- what a great boy! He definitely knows when Zacary needs something and I include him in every single thing we do for Zacary and I know so much that helps out tons! We always do so much for Eli that I know he trusts us that it will never change so he trusts us to know even though he has a baby brother- we are gunna play with him and do the exact same with him as we always have done... and so far that is exactly what we have done! It is not one bit hard to include both boys in everything we do with Eli. The only time we have to make an adjustment is if he wants to play catch with one of us! He knows if I have Zacary he will play catch with Daddy and if Noah has Zacary then he plays with me. During the day I try and lay Zacary down when he is sleeping to get him used to it when it is bed time for when he is in his crib etc and that's the time we play catch etc. We found that helped out for Eli so are doing the same with Zacary! When both boys want me during the day, I make room for both of them on my lap!!! It is not hard at all and being a Mommy comes so natural for me so I never worry about anything and just go with the flow and it has gone soooo great!!! I'm loving it every single bit!!!!! And this is only the beginning eeek :]
