Last December 2009 my lil man looked like this:

Where oh WHERE does the time go!!?? It brings tears to my eyes to know you are going to be 2 in a month lil man! Mommy is 100% proud of you for the lil man you are! You have the sweetest personality, the cutest smile, and an adorable lil laugh! You do the smallest things in the world to make me smile and make my entire day! You are talking more and saying more words clear, and although sometimes it sounds like you are speaking jibberish/another language- I still always seem to understand what you are saying :] Within the last 3 months you have met a best friend that melts Mommy's heart... your lil brother! You 2 are already 2 peas in a pod and always like to be with each other! Zacary stares at you and watches you soooo much and when he smiles at you and I let you know he is looking at you and smiling at you, your lil face lights up and the biggest smile is on your face :] I am so thankful to have you 2 lil boys in my life- it is so so so wonderful and I love you both more than words can ever explain <3
What are you up to these days!!??
You are wearing 2T/3T tops and 24 month pants, size 8 shoes. You are in size 4 diaper and starting in January I am going to try potty training again to see how far we can go! I am going to try the "no pull-up straight to underwear" method to see if that helps and lets you know when you have to pee/poop- you tell Mommy and we go to the potty :] This may result in scrubbing some underwear clean- but I will do anything to help you out my lil man :] I mean the fact that you are trying to get out of your diapers a lot and sometimes do is a huge sign to move to undies and the potty and I will help you out and be as patient as ever with you to help you with this :]
You are absolutely LOVING the Christmas holiday and talk about Santa and Christmas trees a lot and even a snow man too :] It's so darn cute! You proceed to tell me a lot about Santa flying by the moon and love to watch the Dora Christmas Carol show as well as any other Christmas movies/shows! I am beyond excited to watch you open Christmas gifts this year- you are at a wonderful age!!! We are doing our family Christmas the 4 of us on this Sat the 18th before we head out to IL on Christmas Eve! We are in IL from Dec 24th thru Dec 28th! Noah may have to work the 29th and 30th- but we are still thankful to be home with our families during the holidays :]
You love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Elmo, Toy Story, and CARS! :] You love to play in your room all the time with Mommy and brother during the day (we are up in his room playing 90% of the day) :]:] (I love this!!!! It's good he wants to play in his room with us and so much fun) and then when Daddy is home you love to go up again with all of us and play "football" with Daddy and "tackle" him haha! I am so glad he knows Mommy is a girl and girls don't get tackled b/c he never tries to tackle me and that just shows his very sweet personality! :] Mommy will always cheer you on and support you with what you do in life, but tackling isn't on my check list ha! Noah will jokingly say "tackle Mommy" and Eli says "Noooo" in the sweetest voice ever- how sweet to not want to "hurt" Mommy- that's a boy thing haha!
You are realllllly into saying NO right now, but I keep telling myself it is just a phase and all kids do it. You don't always use it as a bad NO but sometimes you do, and boy it is hard not to laugh at times. At the same time, you're going to say NO if it is something you are not interested in/doing, so that is that! For example: Noah wanted to clean Eli's ears out with q-tips and Eli says NO and runs away! Haha- can't say you blame him but how do they learn NO so easy!? :] Crack me up buddys!
You tell us "I love you" now and it is theeee cutest thing ever! Melts my heart every single time! You love to tell us ni-night, give us kisses and brother a kiss too, and then have Mommy read you a book every single night :] I absolutely LOVE that he loves to have a book read to him- it is so wonderful! You love to give kisses and hugs too- so darn sweet! You are getting into trying to tell me sentences too and it's so cute and soooo good!!! I can't believe how fast you learn!! You also can count to 4 and we are working on colors and letters. So far you seem to think every color is blue or black hahaha! You are big into doing different projects now too. Everyday we make a craft when we have the chance too. We have made snowmen, Christmas tree, ginger bread man, and some days just color or draw! It's so much fun to do with him and Zacary too :] You love sleeping with your baseball pillow and blankey every single night and never fight your bed time. You love your sleep and are so good about never fighting us with it! Somedays you fight naps, but understandable and yet again, another thing kids go through! I am very patient with this and patient with him- yes I teach him his rights from wrongs... but don't get flustered with him... just give it time and it will get better as he understands more and more when it's time for nap (even if he has no nap some days) and to not say NO... he is a sweet sweet boy and I know it will turn out okay and he will turn out the same sweet and smart lil man he is! :]
Your brother is your best lil friend and you are so cute with him. You are a good helper for Mommy too- always so excited to help put brother's binkys in his mouth, feed him his bottle with Mommy's help, getting me diapers, etc. You love to lay on your belly and look at brother and just laugh and smile :] You know so much that Mommy and Daddy love you the same and always will no matter what! At the same time you also know we love brother too and have trust in us the same you always have- and that my friends is what makes those 2 lil boys so close already, as well as our family of 4. We are all best friends and will do anything for each other ALWAYS!
Birthday plans are in action for Eli's 2nd birthday! While we are in IL we are doing a small family party with him since the whole family will be there and all and then the weekend of his birthday my sister and her boy will be down at our house and Noah's brother Zach will be too! My sister and her boy have a game to go to for the King's in Atlanta GA on the 17th- so they decided to come down for the weekend! Then Zach just wanted to come- so he is too! I bought an Elmo shirt that has the number 2 on it and Eli's name and also some Elmo decorations to put in the house and a baseball Happy Birthday banner too that Eli picked out! He picked out a baseball cupcake cake too and I am excited to see it eeek! :] When I asked Eli what he wanted his birthday to be he shouted ELMO and BASEBALL- so that my friends is what it will be! We will have cake and ice cream and presents at my house with my lil fam and my sis, Michael, and Zach and then we are taking Eli to McDonalds playland to play with some of the playgroup kids we are gunna invite to play! It will be so much fun and a great 2nd birthday for him :) We will take him out to dinner too of course! Noah, Zacary, and I also bought him a bike and Elmo bike helmet and knee/elbow pads for his bday! He is gunna be so excited considering he LOVES bikes when he sees them :]
Just some thoughts in my mind right now. First off- I have a very loving husband who is very supportive of us and a very loving and caring husband and daddy! I am very thankful for him and would never be the person I have become today without him. The last 6.5 years have been the best years of my life! I am only 25 years old, and some people may look at me like I am crazy to be married and have 2 kids at 25 years old0- but it's my life, I love every step we have taken together, and don't regret one bit of it ever and never will. Yes I got married young, but we love each other very much, will be together forrrrrever and knew that from day one, our lives were at the perfect time to get married, and I will never regret that and forever love my hubby so much! We have our life plans set, and so far- our plans have turned out perfect... just look at my 2 boys and that will show you why I say that- they are the best things ever to us! My days begin with being half awake and kissing my hubby goodbye and he is off to work, to tucking in 2 sweet lil boys into bed at night with a bedtime story! In between that I am a stay-at-home Mommy that loves my job so much! I change dirty diapers, I attend playgroups, I cook, I clean, I play every single thing we can think of with my boys, I let my boys know I love them always and forever, I do laundry, I give the boys a bath, attend outings with other Mommys and their kids, lunch dates, Dr appointments, go to the library, watch every kid show you can think of with my boys, and even have random I need groceries/errand days... and it is all done with my sweet kids. They make me happy, they melt my heart, and make my heart so very happy! I would never be theeee person I am without my awesome hubby and sweet lil boys! My whole world begins and ends with them- and will forever! <3 I love my life so much!!!
Elijah Andrew: Mommy is so so proud of you and always here for you. As you grow, I hope you always know the love I have for you boys, and how much I am always always here for you no matter what and how proud I will always be for you. It breaks my heart to think of the first time you will get your heart broken... bc mine will be broken right there with you! I will be here through thick and thin- and that is a promise for life. You are a very sweet and happy boy all the time and I love you oh so much! I cherish every single moment I spend with you, and will forever... for that's my job as a Mommy and I absolutely would never change a thing for it in theeee world! Happy 23 months baby boy- thank you for doing all you have for your Mommy and for all the laughs, smiles, and great moments with many many more to come! You are such a joy and oh so wonderful- Mommy, Daddy, and brother love you so so so much :]
