I took the boys to the library here in Newnan on Friday and it was so much fun! It is so cute when I ask Eli if he wants to go to the library b/c he shakes his head YES and says "BOOOOOOKS!" Hahaha! There are 2 libraries in Newnan that I am aware of anyway and usually we go to the one closer to our house, but this time I went to the other library a little more down town Newnan. Let me just tell you this- everything explains going to this library class for kids in one word: perfect! The session is called "Lap Time" and is for young children. I know Zacary is still too young, but Eli is at the perfect age and as Zacary gets older- he will enjoy going too. There is a little classroom for the kids and their Mommys where you sit down in a circle and the lady that does the class goes over different numbers, letters, songs, crafts, the weather, etc. It is so neat and a little something that literally gets your child ready for when they will start going to preschool- except their Mommy is with them :] Eli did sooooo good too other then the fact when we first got there he thought I was leaving him there and cried and cried until I explained to him "I am not leaving you buddys Mommy is staying here with you!!!" Then he was okay... awwww sweet boy! I never leave my lil boys!!!! I really enjoyed this and Eli did too. He listened carefully while sitting on my lap to the different numbers (he can count to 4 so far) :] and also the songs too! The lady had each child tell her what pet they have at home and she would hand each of them that pet out of a box. Well of course we have 2 dogs and someone had said they had a dog well before us sooooo we got a bird instead but that's ok b/c my parents have a bird now so Eli loved it that he got a bird like Buddy! :] He did tell her he did have a dog though and it was so cute :] Then after all the kids got an animal she would put someone's animal on the board and whoever had that animal was to go up and stick their matching animal beside it. I kept telling Eli "when she puts up the bird you will go up there and put your bird beside it!" I was very anxious to see if he would do this on his own beings he isn't all the way in the indepedent stage yet BUT that does not bother me whatsoever and never ever will! Yes it is good for him to be independent in some ways but like when he asks us to play in his room with us- I do not pass that up ever considering he won't always want us to play in his room with him forever. Ya no? Let's not talk about that grown up stage just yet tho- makes me sad.
Anyway- sure enough when it was Eli's turn to put the bird up by the matching bird Miss Michelle put up, he stood up, looked back at me and then walked up to the board and put his bird on the board beside the matching bird. He then turned around with a huge smile on his face and said "MAMA" and ran to me so proud he did that all by himself. I seriously sat there with tears in my eyes- it was the first time he went and did something so sweet like that and I witnessed it with my own eyes along with him... such a sweet sweet moment! We definitely will be going to this more often for sure- no doubt about that. It will be so good for Zacary to go as he gets older too!!!! So exciting to find something so neat for my boys :] We of course also checked out some books Eli picked out, looked at the BIG fish the library has, and then he played with a big train table that he LOVED with the other kids. It was so sweet to see him play and have fun with the kids- and he would also bring me every single train part just to show me what it looked like :] He is such a sweet boy!!!! Lil Mr Zacary slept thee.whole.time we were there... those poor shots he had to get this week have really thrown him off but he has been a trooper for sure. I am so proud of my lil boys so much- they make my heart sooooo happy and are my world. Being a Mommy is absolutely WONDERFUL!!!!!! <3
Here are some pics of our fun library day that we will be going back to visit this Friday too :] Miss Michelle even asked the kids to help her clean up all the supplies and Eli did so good helping out and she told him he was such a good helper :] So so proud of my babies!!!! (This class is a once a week kinda thing- we won't be able to go every week but it will definitely be something I keep in my schedule for the boys... it is soooo good for them to go through as they grow) :]
