I wanted to plan a special day for St Patty's day even though the boys really don't understand it ha! Our schedule is pretty busy right now and I atleast want to take 2 days a week and stay home and do whatever thee heck we want! Well the days we are home for sure seem to be Mon and Thurs- so that was today! I love to take time with the boys together and teach them new things and help them succeed in what they are learning right now in their stages they are both in! It is so much fun and part of my job as being home with them! I love helping them, having fun, and watching them learn and grow- it is absolutely amazing! Today we played a game where Eli and I found green things around his room and then he hid his eyes and I hid the green toys around his room! He did very well at keeping his eyes covered til it was time to open them too may I add :] I hid a Chick car, a green worm toy, a green screwdriver toy, and also Percy off of Thomas the Train. I hid them all over the room and he found them all with some "helpful hints" from Zacary along the way! He was so so excited we played this game and that he found them :]:] He then wanted to play again using Toy Story characters ha!!! He makes me laugh and is talking so so so much these days- I just love it!!
We then made a leprechaun craft that I got an idea about while researching online. Eli LOVES doing crafts and Zacary is also always so so cute too watching us and smiling away while also cooing more and more at us these days too- and laughing out loud so so much now also! It's too cute :] Anyway- I cut out everything on the leprechaun and Eli colored on it and helped me glue- too cute! We then had lil leprechauns that looked like this, and pretty handsome and sweet may I add :]
Eli also wanted to get some playing time in outside, so of course we did that too! It was nearly 80 degrees here today woot and is suppose to be 82 tomorrow and 85 Saturday- looooving it :] Sweet lil Zacary LOVES his swing (indoor swing and outside swing) I got a sweet sweet pic of him outside today (tooooo precious may I add- just love love love my babies)
We put in a cake before we headed outside and it baked while we were outside playing! We made the cake for St Patty's day and Eli helped me stir the batter, eat the batter hehe, and then he helped me spread the icing, pour all the GREEN sprinkles on it, and theeeeeen we made the rainbow and other decorations on the cake out of M & M's :] It turned out rather cute if I must say so myself :] Zacary sat and watched us the whole entire time! I also let him try out some icing and chocolate batter hehehehe- needless to say he loved it of course!!! :] Eli really liked it too as you see haha! He wanted more and more...
Annnnd this was the final pic of our completed cake eeeeek :] Eli was so so excited of this! Just looooove it and being a Mommy to my precious lil babies :]:] I just love love love them to pieces!!!
We have the best days together- I just love it so so much and I am so very thankful and blessed! I always look up cute and fun things to do the days we are home- and it shows on the boys' faces how excited and fun they find in it too! Even Zacary- he just is so darn sweet about how he watches us and smiles the whole entire time and we include him in too even though he is too young to understand- just the way we work hehe! Eli is at the age now where he will talk about what we have done all day and he will tell Noah what we do all day when he gets home from work- soooo stinkin adorable! He is such a chatterbox and now is going into sentences and it is so so so sweet! I find it so so neat we can have convos back and forth- just loooove it!! Zacary is pretty dang close to crawling! I got a video on my phone yesterday annnnd for some reason this computer won't let me download it ugh!!! But I am going to keep trying for sure!!!! He is also laughing out loud and it is sooooo adorable (I also have a video for that and I am working with getting that one added too) Eli can sing songs now- "the wheels on the bus" "pop goes the weasel" and "mr golden sun" and I got a small video on him as well and I PROMISE I will get them added as soon as I can figure out the hunk of junk and WHY OH WHY it won't let me download them onto my computer- woof!
Plan to go to our library class tomorrow, then chill the rest of the day at home! Saturday we may go see a friend play soccer and we are hanging out with some friends we met down here Sat night and then being lazy bums Sunday hehe :] What are you doing this weekend? Boys make me laugh and laugh and smile soooo much each and everyday!!! I just love it to pieces and those sweet boys too- they are absolutely awesome! Our summer is quickly becoming busy- we are going to FL as a lil fam in June, going on a trip to Kentucky lake with our great friends the Malones in July or Aug sometime, going to NC to see our new baby niece or nephew in August for a weekend and the rest of the family and also want to try to squeeze in a weekend in IL possibly over the summer!?!?!? We will see though- it's already super busy but will be a great time for sure :]
I wanted to also post this- St Patty's day in 2009 (Eli's first St Pattys day and he is 2 months old), 2010 (Eli's second St Pattys day and he is 14 months old and I am also almost 3 months preggo with Zacary), 2011 (Eli is 2 yrs old, and it is Zacary's first St Patty's day at 5 mo old) - SO crazy how each year can be so different or the same hehe annnnnnnd how much different the boys' looks are- man Eli has grown up so so so so so much and Zacary too- how can it be!?!?
