*** Woo HOO to MY Lil Man ***

So I am just sayin... I am very very VERY proud of my lil man!!! For about a week now I have been introducing him to the potty- tellin him "this is where you go potty when you need to go" and touching the toilet and saying "potty" etc! Well this morning Eli acted as if he had to poopy (Sorry if TMI haha) so I said, "hey buddy do you need to go poopy?" and he looked at me, ran to the potty, touched it, and then clapped his hands!!! SUCH A GOOD BOY! I complimented him over and over and over- how wonderful!!! I act like he actually used the potty for the first time haha- but I am just so darn proud of him! I am thinkin we are prolly gunna start potty training before we thought we were! We will see :] I ordered a potty training DVD for him to watch and he also has some potty training books too we have been reading! I plan to reward him of some sort when we do start the process as well!! I can't believe we are at this point in our lives... makes me tear up how fast he is growing! Eli now says "I poopy" too when he goes haha! It is so funny and the cutest thing... he is so concerned when he says it and is grabbing his rear the whole time :] I can't believe whatsoever how fast he is growing and that he will be a year and a half in 15 days! WHERE IN THEEEE WORLD does the time go??? Someone please figure it out for me :]

Eli has also been such a good boy with wanting to help me out lately too. Whenever I have any laundry to do, he comes with me and helps me put clothes in the washer/dryer and then claps his hands.. he is always so proud of himself :] He then always likes to shut the washer and dryer doors too! And he then says- "all done!" What a lil sweetheart :] I just love him so darn much- what did we ever do without our kids in our lives!? <3

This lil Zehr family is off to IL this weekend! We leave tomorrow morning and come back around 2pm ish on Sunday! My sister-in-law, Molly, is getting married Saturday!!! All 3 of us are in the wedding! I am a bridesmaid, Noah is an usher, and Eli is the ring bearer with another lil boy who is 5 months older than him! I am a worried Mama and hope he does okay! I know he is a good boy but he gets shy in front of a lot of people he doesn't know and he cries. Luckily Noah is an usher though and is going to stand in line with him and help him down the aisle if needed! I think I am worrying too much haha of course- just always lookin out for my lil man though :] We are going to have a busy weekend- which is expected! Gunna get to see my family and my great friend MELINDA too! Possibly others!? I am not sure- really depends on the time we have :/ We will be back in time to Newnan for fireworks on the 4th though! Noah may have to go into work for a lil bit Monday and Mr Eli and I have swim lessons Monday... so we decided to come home in time to see the fireworks of course and NOT miss them :]

Hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend!!!! Be safe and have a fun time :]

Hi Jess,

I was Googling for pictures of Newnan and just happened upon your blog. I thought it was really neat to find another blogger right here in our small town!

The first post I linked to was the one in April where you were talking about moving here and you posted pictures of your very beautiful home. Then, I just read this cute one about little Eli learning to go to the potty! :0) Oh, I remember those days! My husband and I have three daughters and let me tell you, the time does pass by so fast!! It seems like just yesterday we were working on potty training. Now our oldest is 24, married and has 2 little boys of her own. (I'm really not THAT old, I was a young teenage mom. :0) Our middle daughter just graduated from Newnan High School and will be headed to Auburn University next month. And our 'baby' is almost 16 and will be a junior in the fall. I'm serious, if you blink even once, you almost miss their 'growing up years'. I have really been sad about this lately. :*( Where DOES all the time go??

Well, it is really nice to meet you. You have a beautiful family, a wonderful home and a really cute blog! I would love to get to know you a little better, if you are interested. I would also be honored if you came by to visit my blog, too.

In the meantime, I hope you had a safe trip for the wedding and that you have a wonderful time tonight at the fireworks.

Blessings,

Teresa <><
