Eli really has become more vocal this past week!!! He is now into making noises to talk to us even more, as well as doing the cutest lil belly laughs! It is so funny! He laughed at me one day when I was mad at the computer for moving sooooo slow and then laughed when Noah coughed one night as well. Haha! I am trying to get a video posted on here of his cute lil laugh- but of course once again, it is giving me problems and won’t let me ugh :/
Eli loves playing with toys, but to be honest- they do not interest him very long… and I am not sure to why haha! He likes to look at them and hold on to them but then like 5 minutes later he is done haha. He is more interested in his “Praise Baby” DVD’s that we play for him. HE LOVES MUSIC!!!! It is so cute to watch him and see how much he enjoys it! So cute :] I now know all the songs by heart too haha!
Eli is now eating baby food dinner and fruit for dinner and eating cereal for breakfast and before bed! He is doing great- but he will not eat his cereal unless it is in a bottle. I do not know why on this- still trying to figure that out haha. So we still make it real soupy with formula added. He hates it any other way, but maybe that will change someday! He loves his baby food though and so far has not been picky on which dinner and fruit we give him- so that’s a plus! He eats half a jar of each for dinner :] Eli also has this new thing where he loves to drink out of OUR glasses. I think he is going to go from a bottle to a glass hahaha. JK! But he gets sooo excited when he sees a glass and to take a drink! His eyes get HUGE and he makes this lil noises- it is hilarious!
Eli is sleeping great as well! KNOCK ON WOOD! He is asleep by 9:00pm and sleeps til seriously 7:30 or 8:00am. CRAZY! I still can’t believe he sleeps in that long- but I am not complaining haha. Since I am now home- I let him sleep until he wakes up… then I run in his room and snatch him up- I just miss him that much even over night!!!! He is sleeping all night- KNOCK ON WOOD AGAIN!! Occasionally he will wake up for his binky- but then goes right back to sleep :] Yaaaay!!!
Speaking of the ol binkers- he now can pull that lil sucker out of his mouth and sometimes get it back in right haha! It is so funny to watch him- he also LOVES to play with his hands. He puts them up in his face and just stares at them and plays with them hahaha! It’s too cute! He also is in the teething stage right now so likes to naw on his hand/fist too. It makes me nervous because sometimes he can gag himself!!! What a silly boy! BUT if it cures the teething pain- we are all for it to keep our lil guy a happy baby :]
Eli is getting great at sitting up. He hasn’t accomplished it all the way yet- but he is close! He wobbles side to side so he isn’t too sturdy yet- but we will get there and keep working with the Bumbo :] He loves to go on walks with Mommy and be outside in general! I hope to get his swing up soon outside so we can SWING!!!!! Daddy can’t find a good branch tho so far- BOO for bad trees:[
Eli is getting closer to reaching out to Noah and I! He isn’t all the way there… he is more at the kicking feet stage that says “Come pick me up” when he is playing or “Hand me over” if someone is holding him haha! He no longer likes to cuddle- which is very sad to me:/ He loves to lay on blankets and kick and talk and be free while you talk with him back. He just wants to be a free lil man haha! We are going on our first lil trip this Weds-Sat to Wisconsin Dells… I am sooooo excited and he will get to swim for the first time eeek! :] There will be a post on the trip- no worries! Even though I am sure you were not worried haha!
Eli has also rolled over from tummy to back- but not back to tummy. We are working on that for sure and he comes so close. He gets to side and that is about it! I am actually not sad if he doesn’t roll over- it worries me too much for when he is sleeping at night. So take your time lil man :]
Eli is doing wonderful with me at home and with the other girls! It is so cute to see him react to Rylan, the little girl that is 2.5 years! He loves her! Cami is also here 3 days a week and is 3 weeks older then him. I got very lucky to have 3 easy babies! They all take naps at different times too- so it works out great!!!! I definitely made a great decision, that’s for sure! I absolutely love it!!! :]
We love you lil man! You are growing so so so so fast!!! Before we even know it- you will be a year old! How crazy! :] You bring so much joy to Mommy and Daddy’s lives- and we are so lucky to have such a good baby boy! You amaze me more and more everyday <3 Happy 5 months old baby boy!!!!! :]
