Eli is pretty much up to the same ole stuff as last month! He seems to be talking more and more these days and it is so cute! He says the usual words he has been saying and now is saying: baseball, Bert, Big Bird, Elmo, Baby Bop, Belle, All Gone, All Done, Drink, Ball, Bubble, and Apple. He is starting to be able to have more convos with us too. He has this thing where he will grab our finger and take us to where he wants to go and if you say “what do you want baby?” he answers back as in “ball,” “bubbles,” “drink,” etc and it is sooo stinkin cute! I now officially have a talking toddler :] It’s so crazy how much he learns and how big he is getting! I just will never get over it. It’s so amazing to me. He knows all of the family by their names and now knows Zacary too. He will run to his room if we ask him where his room is and he also pats my belly when we ask him where he is (sometimes he misses and grabs my boob hahaha oops buddy!)
He is still binky free other then naps and bed time and does so so good with it- I am very proud of him. He has had enough of his crib… he is a bed hog and wants all the room in the world and runs into the crib rails with his feet or head quite often the poor buddy- so on that note, we are moving his big boy bed into his room very soon! We got a rail that fits the whole side of the bed too. I am curious to see how this goes- and hope for the best! Whatever works out is how it is meant to be though!! I feel he is ready for a bed, and not just sayin he needs it bc his brother will be here soon. I by all means do not want to rush him into things in life because of a lil exciting brother. He will be so cute with Zacary but I still want to have Eli adjust to things and go thru things as they are meant to be as he grows! May sound weird but it’s just the Mommy I am and will be for all of my kiddos :]
As crazy as it sounds we also want to try and potty train before Zacary is born too. If it works out- excellent, if not- then no skin off my back and we will try again later. I bought a book on all tips with potty training and want to start reading it… we want to give him a good month and a half to adjust to it before Zacary is born if it is meant to be- so we will prolly start that up in August. I am telling myself not to be nervous and just be a good good help all the time for him. We will see how it goes- but my oh my does the time fly. I have showed him the potty and he has some books about the potty so he somewhat knows what it is at this time. His Dr also told me that the earlier you start them (18 mo and up) the easier it is- so we will see!! I want to make sure he is good and adjusted with the big boy bed before bouncing him to potty training too! That's too much to adjust to for one lil man!
Eli has quite the friendly personality and I am so proud of him for it!!! He says HI and waves to anyone he sees anywhere and is so friendly to everyone! He treats my family and Noah’s the same with all the same reactions and personality and it is so darn cute! I am so proud to be his Mommy and love him soooooo much I just can’t say it enough! He still love love LOVES Elmo, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Barney and also loves to dance and it is hilarious to see him dance!!!! He loves to say Dada and Mama and point us out to anyone- it melts my heart. I see so many cute little boys at the pool when we go and think of how cute it is going to be when his best friend Zacary is here and they are runnin around together!!! He is becoming more independent the older he gets, but still needs and wants his Mama and Dada too- which of course is so special :] I hope this lasts forever :] He is wearing 18 mo/24 mo clothes, size 6 shoes- and weighs around 27-28 lbs. We will find out for sure on the weight next month! He has 13 teeth and one more coming through now :]
Eli has his 18 mo appt July 19 and we will see then how much he has grown and his weight! I am also setting up to do 18 mo pics and maternity pics with him sometime in July too! Eli is also in his first wedding July 3, 2010 as the ring bearer eeeek I can’t wait to see him in his tux :] I also am signing Eli and I up for a "Mommy and Me Swim Lesson Class" for toddles 6-23 mo in July! I am so excited for this- he loves the water!!!!
He love love LOVES to be outside, swim, play with all his toys in his room, running around, picking out shoes and clothes to wear, and playing in his sprinkler and pool at home too. He is such a fun lil guy that I adore so much <3
Mommy and Daddy love you so so so much lil man- and are very proud of you!!!! You’re a great lil boy!
