*** Things that make you laugh ***

So 2 funny stories in the Zehr house I just have to share of course :]

Yesterday Eli and I were playing baseball in his room in the afternoon. He likes to swing the bat and have me pitch, and then switch it up and have me hit the ball while he pitches- and then he runs the bases whether he is hitting or not :] It's way too cute and I love the absolute obsession he has with baseball for sure! Well let's just say we were playing with a mini wooden bat this time around of baseball. Eli knows not to hit a thing with a bat other than a ball... no people, no objects- nottttta but a ball. He is pure boy and likes to beat the stairs and his Buzz n Woody footstool with his drum stick but we are getting better about what you hit with a baseball bat (balls) and a drum stick (drums or the stairs per my permission) :]

Anyway- Eli got real excited and out of no where hit his closet door 2 times with the RED mini wooden bat... which left 2 lil red paint marks on the closet. RUH ROH was the first thoughts that came to my mind. I walked over and said "why did you do that buddy?" and he laughed. RUH ROH- not the response I expected ha! So I took the bat out of his hand and said "buddy you can't hit ANYTHING with a baseball bat but a ball- why did you hit the closet?" I put the bat back on his shelf where we got it- and the tears began to flow. He was sobbing, and I felt like the worst Mommy ever. I wanted to so bad just give him the bat back but I knew I shouldn't considering he has to learn he can't hit things like that! I sat him on his bed for a couple minutes and explained Mommy was sorry but he can not hit anything but a ball with a baseball and that he left paint on the closet and that wasn't good (esp when Daddy gets home and sees it ha). He cried a bit- calmed down and I'm not gunna lie- I cried a bit myself. I felt so bad I had to take it away and explain what happened... discipling is so hard for me... but I also have to make sure he knows his rights from wrongs for sure. I'm always gunna have a hard time with feeling like my kids are mad at me when they are in trouble- I'm such a sensitive person like that and always will be to them for sure! When I asked Eli to say sorry and that I still loved him very very much and always will- he gave me a hug and a kiss... that sure made up for it!!!

So Noah gets home from work and sees the paint on the closet. He asks what happen- so I told him the story. Noah pointed to the paint and said "who did this?" to Eli. Eli's response was these exact words "the bat!"

I had to turn my head bc I couldn't hold in my smile and laugh. I am sorry- but that response was hilarious! Noah laughed and laughed about it later too- what a lil smart man hahaha! :]

*****

Last night we went to dinner for our anny at CHILIS yummy!!!! Noah found a Chili's 10 minutes from us when all along we never thought one was close. Chili's is my fave- so I was in heaven and thought it was soooo nice of him!!! Love you babe so much <3

So while we are at dinner Noah says "Babe- if you go into labor by chance tomorrow... please make it early or late because I am cooking burgers tomorrow at lunch!"

I laughed and laughed- how stinkin funny! What's more important babe- your wife and child on the way or makin burgers??? Hahaha! I said that to him too and he said "well I didn't mean it that way haha- I just never get to cook burgers at work" :] Made me laugh so hard and smile! What would I ever do without my wonderful hubby and baby BOYS? I'd be absolutely lost- that is fooooor sure! I just love love LOVE them so much <3
